I wore this outfit twice because I just love the combination of hues so much. I wore it to an open house (that we ended up putting an offer on!) and if we get this is house, then I shall consider this look a lucky charm. And then I wore it again on a day that I didn’t know what to wear, so I went back to this skirt + sweater combo. Absolute classic look and I added in this pop of classic red to the look, which I just feel like pulls the whole outfit together.
Speaking of this new little bag, this purse was a birthday present that I heavily hinted at for a few weeks and look at me now! Hints DO work. You see, I found this bag on The Real Real and I’ve decided that I will only buy designer bags second hand now. This one is in amazing condition and it was 1/3 of the retail price. There is a small scratch on the top but I honestly wouldn’t have noticed it so to those who like designer bags without flaws, keep those standards high! I will take the small scratches and the big discounts. Side note, if you shop secondhand designer I prefer Fashionphile and The Real Real for bags. I find that they have the best prices. I’ve found a LV from there and my YSL belt bag secondhand.
This silk skirt strikes again. As you can see (here and here) I really enjoy wearing a sweater with this skirt. To me this combo is the easiest way to mix the seasons during our transition into colder weather especially this last month. As it gets cooler, I can pair this look with tights and booties or tall boots and all of those looks still work the same. (Oh and I’d add a coat too, just for the hell of it.) This skirt runs a bit small at the waist particularly and I really like the size large for a size 8. It gives me plenty of wiggle room in the waist, but overall if you don’t need extra room in the waist, stay TTS.
I am in the large of the cardigan, but it fits relaxed / boxy and a longer than cropped length. If you like the fit on me, go up one size but it does stretch with wear due to the cotton fabric. Otherwise stay true to your normal size. This cardigan is from Quince and comes in a few different colors as well!
Find the sweater here! It’s on of my favorites from Quince.
