Last Tuesday night, beauty and lifestyle doyenne Aerin Lauder touched down in Los Angeles to celebrate the opening of her first West Coast store in Pacific Palisades.
To fete the new Aerin boutique, which offers a curated selection of products from the eponymous brand, a selection of vintage home décor and jewelry from the new Heirloom Collection, as well as in-store exclusives from the home collection, she hosted an intimate dinner at the buzzy San Vicente Bungalows.
The venue was a fitting spot for the gathering as Lauder’s friendship with San Vicente Bungalows owner, and guest, Jeff Klein, dates back to their births at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where their mothers first met.
Friends and fans, including Alexandra von Furstenberg, Carolyn Murphy, Dylan Bleue Murphy, Ever Carradine, Jaime King, Zoë de Givenchy, and Monique Lhuillier, were treated to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres upon arrival before taking their seats for dinner in the private dining room of the club.
The table, of course, had been ‘scaped’ in an array of elegant Aerin tableware, glassware, and linens, along with whimsical floral arrangements by florist Lily Lodge. “Dinner started at eight so I was here at six to make sure everything was perfect on the table from our Murano candlesticks and glasses, bud vases to our signature fragrance,” Lauder told Vogue.
The new boutique marks the third retail location for the luxury-lifestyle brand which launched in 2012. “I’ve come to L.A. many times, but when my sister-in-law took me to Palisades Village for a coffee, I fell in love with the place,” said Lauder. “I thought it was so inviting, so when an opportunity came up for us there, I was very excited.”
While Lauder’s own lifestyle serves as a focal point of inspiration for the brand, she says: “I have always been inspired by the effortless glamor and elevated simplicity of Southern California. When it comes to entertaining, the L.A. woman is more casual but really appreciates luxury…and that aligns perfectly with the brand’s sensibility.”
