On the Podcast: L’Enchanteur’s Dynasty and Soull Ogun, Winners of the 2024 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund

Last Wednesday, Manhattan’s Monkey Bar restaurant was the place to be, as the fashion industry gathered to announce the winner of this year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. The winning prize, $300,000 and a year of mentorship, was awarded to Dynasty and Soull Ogun, the sisters behind L’Enchanteur, a line of jewelry and ready-to-wear that quickly captivated the judges. The Brooklyn natives joined Vogue’s Nicole Phelps and Mark Holgate, who also served as judges for the Fund, to discuss their career trajectory, growing up in Flatbush, and their unique creative approaches to the design process.

“We grew up in a household of artistic beings and artistic people,” Soull explains. “And we had a lot of self-teaching; using the quote-unquote adversity of ‘lack’ allowed us to create a lot in the house. We really wanted to be on ‘Wheel of Fortune’, and we would just turn over a bicycle, spin the wheel, and then we’re ‘Wheel of Fortune’; and that [extended] to teaching ourselves how to create.” It’s not surprising that the duo describes themselves as “autodidactic artisans.”

Also on the podcast, the twin sisters talk about their life before L’Enchanteur—including Soull’s musical beginnings—and look to their future. And we don’t just mean the tarot card reader that was present at their spring 2025 activation. Their designs will be featured in “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the Costume Institute exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which will open next May.
