As New York Fashion Week‘s latest season descended upon Manhattan, the industry’s most prominent designers unveiled collections that offered a glimpse into spring 2025’s forecasted trends. At the Badgley Mischka presentation, color, texture, and beaded embellishments were the themes du jour, embraced both on the runway and by the event’s attendees — including Meredith Marks.
The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star stepped out for the occasion — which was held at Greek restaurant Periyali on Friday, Sept. 6 — in an iridescent blue gown. The striking number was accentuated by unique design flourishes like a cinched waistline, one-sleeved silhouette, and deep neckline that gave the style a more airy appeal. Marks smartly styled her look with knotted silver Bottega Veneta heels and a structured clutch for a welcome contrast.
“What really inspired me was how this dress reflects the refined glamour that Badgley Mischka is known for, but with an edge that feels very personal to me,” Marks tell PS. “I love how the collection played with vibrant colors and sophisticated silhouettes, but this piece stood out for its striking balance of structure and fluidity.”
Marks’s lively ensemble embodied a coastal, Mykonos-inspired vibe; it felt like she was ready for a yachting excursion around the Greek Islands. The duo behind Badgley Mischka, Mark Badgley and James Mischka, drew inspiration from similar themes in order to build out their Spring 2025 collection.
“We started thinking about Jackie Kennedy Onassis on board the Christina O (Aristotle Onassis’s infamous super-yacht), and how they would just have the most amazing summers cruising around the Mediterranean,” Badgley tells PS. “And all the beautiful women that were on board at the time: the movie stars, the socialites, and their whole posse of amazing people.”
As for the collection itself, Mischka explained that they sought out to redefine “cocktail attire,” with pieces that are appealing and versatile to younger consumers. “A lot of [the collection] is our classic sort of looks, but we discovered our customer wanted a different way to look for evening; we started to do fun cabana sets and rompers in precious fabrics so they looked important and couture.”
