Tennis Romance 101: Meet Jannik Sinner, Francis Tiafoe and More Tennis Stars’ Off-the-Court Partners

With tennis season in full swing, it seems you can’t go anywhere—well, not at Vogue HQ, at least—without overhearing some gossip from “the Open.” But the actual athletic goings-on at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center are only part of the draw—the who’s-in-the-stands-with whom intrigue at the US Open is just as appealing.

So, we’re connecting all the dots for you. Tennis has had its share of power couples (Chris and Jimmy! Steffi and Andre! Roger and Mirka! Art and Tashi!), but who are all of today’s top players dating? Below, find a guide to seven of the hottest couples in tennis.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa

Tsitsipas and Badosa’s on-again-off-again relationship appears to be officially on, with Tsitsipas joining his girlfriend, the 2021 Indian Wells women’s singles champion, for mixed doubles at this year’s US Open. “We’re looking forward to it, it’s really nice to share the court together,” Badosa has said. “We spend time off court, but also on court. It’s really special in a Slam. It’s like a dream come true. Big shout out to him. He’s going through tough moments—but he’s a champion and he will always be a champion.”

Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya

“Yes, I’m with Anna, but we keep everything very confidential. I won’t say more,” the Italian tennis star reportedly said in May. True to his word, Sinner hasn’t engaged much publicly on the topic of his relationship with Kalinskaya—his Moscow-born girlfriend (who is a high-ranking tennis player in her own right)—since, although the two did appear together at the French Open this year.
