Ooooh the power of accessories!
This outfit base is simple — jeans, tee, flip flops. But the accessories MAKE the outfit. Which is saying a lot considering there are only two accessories here — that stunning sculptural pendant necklace and that slouchy corduroy tote in the most cozy shade of autumnal brown.
The whole vibe is minimal and laid back, yet warm and approachable. Let’s call it warm minimalism for short. This version of minimalism isn’t aloof — it’s inviting. As we move towards a new season, I’m keeping this phrase in the front of my mind. I think warm minimalism could be my north star for fall style. We’ll see.
Also! Guess what? This white tee wasn’t in my original capsule. Yes, I have white mini tees in there, but not this slouchier tee. When I realized this look needed a slouchier tee, I didn’t hesitate to grab a non-capsule item. Because this capsule isn’t about limiting myself severely or adhering to rules. Yay for a loose-y goose-y approach!
