Running shorts with a lil’ cardigan is a bit of an Instagrammy look right now. And a very 2024 move would be to put a ballet flat with it. Do that, and you’ve got yourself a very Instagram Girlie outfit, right there.
I allllmost reached for my ballet flats, but then switched to flip flops at the last minute. I actually like it a lot better — flip flops are my signature, so the look feels less Instagram Girlie and more like *me*.
There are a few of my other signatures in there for good measure, too. Like my favorite canvas tote, my everyday jewelry that’s meaningful to me, and Nike Tempo shorts.
If you’re feeling like your outfit is feeling a little too algorithm-y, try adding in a couple of your signature pieces. It’s amazing how little swaps can make a huge difference in personalizing an outfit. What are your signatures? Tell me in the comments!
